My Go To Favorite Thanksgiving Day Recipes

Rounding up my all time favorite Thanksgiving dinner ideas for you. If you are looking for yummy recipes, I got you covered.

As we are somewhat getting back to normal or trying, this year’s Thanksgiving dinner may still look very different for many families around the globe. As we are all still dealing with the Pandemic and possible reinfection, social gatherings may be smaller and more intimate. Our gatherings are usually around 10 – 12 people and this year we will make it every bit as special as prior years and still plan on eating to our heart’s content! I want to share my favorite Thanksgiving Day Recipes with you, all tried and true.

My Favorite Thanksgiving Day Recipes

Let’s start with the heart of the Thanksgiving Day meal – the Turkey.

Bacon Wrapped Turkey a la Happy Haute Home

If you are looking for an easy, delicious and juicy turkey, then you want to check out my Bacon Wrapped Turkey with Champagne. This recipe is my go to turkey! Cooked in a bag using a bottle of champagne, this recipe is a crowd pleaser for sure. Click HERE for the full post about my Turkey specialty.

Ciabatta Stuffing with Bacon

Ciabatta bread is a favorite in our house and this recipe is perfection. It contains everything you love about stuffing and tastes deletable. Can you ever have enough bacon? I mean..come on! Bacon on the turkey and in the stuffing 😉

Tip: For an even tastier stuffing, also add in one pound of Jimmy Dean Breakfast pork sausage!

Sweet Potatoes with Pecan Topping

Using nuts at Thanksgiving is another must of mine. Growing up with a French dad, I learned to love and appreciate all nuts..and pecans are a favorite!

Creamy Corn Casserole Bake

A yummy and easy side to prepare using corn – another real crowd pleaser. You can’t go wrong with this dish…ever.

French Scalloped Potatoes

This scalloped potato dish is the most requested item at our family gatherings. What’s not to love about potatoes cooked in cream? Rich and delicious. Check out link to the original post HERE.

Our Family Thanksgiving Dinner

For larger dinners, I always use buffet style serving. Our kitchen is large and my island is perfect to serve a crowd. These are some of my favorite ladies. My MILs, SIL and niece – love all these women and we always have so much fun when we get together.

  3. Hi, thank you so much for the recipes! Your kitchen island is a great place for a Thanksgiving buffet! Everything looked so lovely! I’m so thankful as well for the time we do get to spend with loved ones. In some ways it seems this year has flown by and in others it seemed tediously long. We will endure and remember “this too shall pass.”
