Winter Dinner Party for 12 – Table Ideas

I am someone who has a hard time letting go after the holidays. I love all the decorations, the beautiful Christmas trees, the gorgeous colors, and all the excitement and festivities that surround Christmas. It’s not until the end of January that all traces of the holidays are gone from our house.

Slowly, I have been removing the red Poinsettias that adorn the rooms, and this week I will take down our last remaining Christmas tree from the dining room, but first let’s have one more celebration!

After all, I’ve been waiting since Thanksgiving to see these glorious Amaryllis flowers bloom.img_5910img_5911I love the deep red rich color these flowers bring to any room of the house.

I also love bright white blooms of all varieties. img_1579In preparation for my get together, I set a simple table for 12, dividing up a bouquet of white flowers into 3 smaller arrangements in beautiful crystal glasses that were a Christmas gift from my awesome mother-in-law.

img_1625I used my holiday napkins in red, white and green, and placed them under the plates. I also placed a small single carnation on each of our guests’ plates.

img_1588A nice touch to any dinner party is have a signature pre dinner drink prepared for your guests. In this case, I chose a Kir Royale, combination of Chambord  (raspberry Liquor) and Champagne.

My favorite style is combining vintage and modern, rustic and refined, such as burlap with crystal, and galvanized pots with fine china. What are your favorite styles? I’d love to hear from you, thanks for stopping by.
