Fall Decor Coffee Table Ideas & Fall Fireplace Mantel Ideas

What do you think of when the Fall season arrives? I think of perfect cool weather, cozying up in front of the fireplace, Sunday football, changing of the trees and crackling leaves, spice lattes, and pumpkins! It’s the start of an exciting holiday season, the prelude to Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Summer is barely over and I am already thinking about the Fall season and Fall decor. I like to start decorating early, too early for most, I know. I’ll start pulling out Christmas trees well before Thanksgiving arrives! My plan this year is to put up 4 Christmas trees, wish me luck 🙂

We have been in our home over a year now, and last year I didn’t decorate for the Fall with so many renovation projects in the works, but this year – game on Baby!

I typically don’t go crazy decorating for the Fall, (like I do for Christmas) just a few hints here and there. This year I decided not to use traditional Fall colors like orange, green or yellow, but I am staying with a pumpkin theme, in mainly white and gold decor. Who says pumpkins have to be orange?

IMG_3318I recently blogged about styling a coffee table (HERE). I used those same concepts to style my coffee table for Fall. I bought these ceramic pumpkins from Hobby Lobby (HERE) along with the Fall pillows shown on the sofa.

IMG_3330At 40% off, I felt they were reasonably priced and look very nice.

IMG_3350These gold and white vase fillers of acorns, squash and small pumpkins are also from Hobby Lobby.

IMG_3384The vase fillers of white and gold compliment the pumpkins nicely. Using a tray to house the decor is a great styling tool. I found several other pumpkins and decor items at Home Goods (HERE) like the smaller gold and white pumpkin which is a candle.

IMG_3371In searching for sturdy, reasonably priced and elegant Fall decor items, I found Home Goods and Hobby Lobby were both good choices. I also went to a couple other craft stores and was disappointed by their selection of overpriced foam pumpkins!

For our mantel decor, I continued the gold and white theme with a touch or red.

Most of the items you see on the mantel are from Home Goods.

IMG_3299A tip to follow, remember to layer decor, and use everyday items from the cabinet.  I used a cake stand to hold 2 candles (the owl and the pumpkin).

IMG_3300Fresh flowers are a must, I fell in love with these roses when I saw them.

IMG_3301Floating flowers in water is one of my favorite decor go-to’s. I have a set of appetizer glass bowls in different sizes (HERE) and use them for flowers, it’s effortless and looks so nice.

IMG_3303Leaning a picture frame on the mantel is a perfect backdrop for decor and adds great dimension.

IMG_3307Tall candlesticks on a mantel are a must have! I have a set of 5 in differing heights, similar to these 5-Piece Candleholder Set (HERE)

IMG_3308Use everyday dishes, like this white bowl to float a rose.

IMG_3309I love the combination of these two, gold pear and white apple.

IMG_3310Candles are another must have for Fall decor and all seasons.

IMG_3378There you have it..simple Fall decor that won’t break the bank and will be easy to transition to the next season.

See you next time! And remember to follow along on Instagram!
