“Modern French Country Christmas” Kitchen Tour

In previous years, I haven’t bothered to go through the trouble of decorating our kitchen for Christmas. But this year, since we remodeled the space HERE, I was eager and excited to bring in some Christmas love, but also wanting to keep it simple. Look no further than the backyard.

Bringing the outdoors inside is such an easy way to add warmth to a space and it says “grab a cup of hot cocoa and stay a while.”

Berried Juniper, white birch and pinecones make a beautiful centerpiece and the scent from the Juniper can be smelled throughout the kitchen.

Adding a berried wreath brings color into the space.

Adding garland to the range hood makes cooking more festive.

We’re still waiting for the arrival of our bar stools, hoping to have them for Christmas Day.

Loving the smell of Juniper.

A little fresh greens hidden in the cabinets is simple and fun.

Our table needs a bit of Christmas love as well. A white oversized inexpensive tablecloth HERE is perfect for our long table.

I picked up this white wood hand carved trough recently and added some leftover eucalyptus leaves from Thanksgiving, white roses, and pinecones to make a festive centerpiece.

This holiday season, I spent quite a bit of time shopping our garage for Christmas decor. I brought in things I hadn’t used in years, like this silver hammered planter.

Repurposing garage finds has been a great way to save money this holiday season.

Fresh red berries add a bit of holiday cheer.

These simple, and inexpensive DIY chair wreaths were so easy to make using small grapevine wreaths HERE, ribbon, pinecones and frosted berries.

My kids have been going crazy over this hot chocolate bar.

But it’s not just for kids…it’s for adults as well 🙂 I am loving my new stylish bar cart SIMILAR HERE. I am going to get a lot of use outta this baby! It is on wheels so it can be moved from room to room! YEAH!

I used a can of spray paint in champagne color HERE, to give my very shiny gold chargers a fresh and updated look.

I have always wanted a Christmas tree in the kitchen, and this slim one is perfect for the space.

 The tree is incredibly realistic looking trees and superb quality.
