Easy Money Saving Tips to Add Fall Touches to Your Home

Easy peasy pumpkin squeezy! That’s my motto this year for Fall. Today, I’m sharing a few very easy ways to add a touch of Fall to your home in minutes.

If you’re a busy person, have a job, kids, and loads of responsibilities then you probably don’t have time to spend hours running around searching for great home decor. I get it…but you still want to bring the season inside your home. I’m going to make this easy for you…because I like easy too 🙂

Adding Fall Touches to a Family Room

In an earlier post HERE, I shared a few ways I added touches of Fall to our family room using a neutral decor. As much as I love neutral decor, I feel that during the holidays its okay to decorate each room with a different theme, we don’t have to keep the same neutral decor thorough out our home. Bring in all the rich Fall colors and get creative.

Mix up Your Pillows

If it’s a bit too early for real pumpkins, I decorate with faux -bringing out all the Fall decor I own including pillows, throws, pumpkins, candles, and fillers. I start switching out pillow covers and throws and pile all my “Fall colored” pillows on the sofa in our sunroom.

This is what loads of pillows purchased throughout the years and thrown onto a sofa looks like.

Add Dried Hydrangeas to a Vase

A few weeks ago, I cut some hydrangeas from my porch and allowed them to dry. You can read more about drying hydrangeas HERE. The greens, blues and reds are a beautiful combination and tie in well with the pillows. Don’t be afraid to mix and match pillows of different colors and styles, the variety makes for an interesting and alluring sofa.

Add Natural Elements to a Vase

Vase filler of red, brown, and yellow elements is an easy touch for the coffee table. You don’t have to spend any money on this one, go outside and grab leaves that are changing, acorns, or other Fall elements and add to a vase. If you struggle for ways to style a coffee table, check out my post HERE.

Fall Touches for a Powder Room

Moving onto the powder room, I added a couple Fall hand towels.

Nothing too dramatic, just a hint of color.

Pumpkin soap is always an easy, fragrant, and colorful way to dress up a bathroom. Home Goods HERE has a great selection of Fall Soaps.

And a soft candle and flowers add warmth to the space. For more information about our powder room remodel using planked boards, check out post HERE.

Add Fall Touches to the Kitchen

For the Kitchen, I used more of my pumpkins from years past.

I added a wreath to the Lazy Susan I purchased from Ballard Designs a while back, and put my ceramic pumpkin from Hobby Lobby in the center of the wreath. An easy centerpiece for my kitchen table. Grab your coupon below.

For the kitchen island, you can’t get much easier than some greenery with a couple of my favorite black pumpkins from Hobby Lobby. Go outside and snip a few branches, and add them to a glass vase. Use real pumpkins if available, which can be used for pumpkin pie later on.

Fresh baked good are a must during the Fall season, and the smell of pumpkin, vanilla, and cinnamon are a great way to bring the season into your home.

Kitchen Mantel Fall Decor

Lastly, I added garland and votive candles to our kitchen mantel. The colors of the garland look beautiful with the raw piece of timber we have for the mantel. For more about our kitchen fireplace renovation, check HERE.
