Fall Foyer Decor Ideas 2020

Fall is fast approaching in the northeast region of the US. Pinecones are appearing on our trees, the air feels crisper, mornings and evenings are chillier and excitement is in the air for a brand new season.

2020 a year like no other, but change is coming and that is what Fall is all about. Fall is so beautiful and offers an abundance of warm feelings to go along with the season. Gorgeous colors on the trees, time to cozy up by a crackling fire and relish in the autumn smells of the season 🙂 Warm days and crisp nights are welcome after the long hot and humid days of summer. Fall is all about change and I can’t wait – especially after this crazy year…I welcome the change whole heartedly 💕.

I was eagerly anticipating the switch of our Foyer to Fall decor. Prior to this week, our foyer was decorated with soft pastels and summer colors. We recently embarked on a phase one renovation of our foyer and I am enjoying the changes we have made thus far.

Today, I’m sharing a few Fall touches I added to our foyer. As soon as you walk in the front door you are greeted with the season and all its glory!

How to Add Fall Touches to a Home

I love Fall colors and always enjoy adding Autumn hues to our home.

I tend to favor muted Fall tones over bright oranges and yellows.

Add Candles in Multiple Colors and Sizes and Layer them on your Favorite Books

Burnt orange candles and slim brass candlesticks add the flickering twinkle to my Fall foyer table that I so love.

A larger gold toned candle sits on top of two very colorful books. Besides the beautiful color this book adds to the table, it has pages and pages of stunning inspiration.

Two other books I love HERE and HERE are a key part of my foyer decor.

A fun, easy and economical way to add color to any room is through open books. This favorite book of mine is filled with pages of color! Using a display stand , I open the book up to a page filled with seasonal color! It’s like having a whole bunch of pictures at my fingertips but without having to hang them up and provide frames. I can open the book to any page and add color instantly.

Add Flowers and Faux is Fine

I added several faux Fall florals to my table. All the Fall florals are 40% off and I could not resist!

Layer Pillows with Plenty of Color

Pulling out Fall pillows is another addition of color to the space.

 I use books as decor whenever I can, again their colors are perfect for the seasons. Another favorite book of mine that is adding those gorgeous Fall reds to my space, and this one is resting on an ottoman.

Look familiar? Yes my husband and I were married here 🙂 so it has special meaning to me.

Add a Large Statement Piece

In such a large space as this, it’s important to have a focal piece, and a big one. I get so many questions about my ginger jar and guess what? It’s back in stock!

This beautiful white/slightly gray ceramic jar is the perfect vessel to hold these Autumn branches.

I was so happy to find these heavy Fall branches at 60% off! The colors are perfect for the space and they look beautiful.

I used 3 branches and since they are so full, that works perfectly.

Add a Rug with Fall Colors

I changed out the front door rug too, this one has more Fall colors with green and rust without the pinks.

Coordinate Tones for Each Space

Pastel tones are carried into the Family Room with rose and blush colors.
