Since her split from Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie has purchased a new home for herself and six kids in Los Angeles. Angelina has closed on the Cecil B. DeMille estate, a Los Feliz mansion once owned by the filmmaker.
Cecil B. DeMille lived in the 2 acre estate for roughly 40 years until his death in 1959. His family maintained the home for decades and sold it in 1988.
The classical style main home, built in 1913, has been restored and renovated to its original style but incorporated many modern upgrades. There are four fireplaces, including one in the master bedroom.
Angelina’s new home, is on the largest lot in the highest point in L.A.’s Laughlin Park and offers amazing views of Griffith Park.
Let’s take a tour of Angelina’s home, photos courtesy of Trulia.
The 11,000-square-foot property has a grand entry with an expansive foyer and a curved staircase and intricate molding throughout.
The family room has beautiful doors and windows.
The formal dining room is paneled in a dark finish. Wonder if Angelina will keep this style?
The kitchen features an old world stove and marble countertops. This space may be a bit small for six kids….
This must be the eat in area, love the curved windows and beautiful views.
Cozy fireplace and balcony off the master bedroom.
Spacious master bathroom with subway tiles.
Love this room with the sliding glass doors opening up to the outside.
Manicured lawn, of course – leading to the pool area.
Plenty of space for Angelina’s six kids to run around, and the lot looks very private.
Beautiful pool!
And pool house…
With a gym! Nice feature.
Beautiful views from the home.
So I want to know who will decorate their home, now that Brad and Angelina are separated?
What do you think?
See you next time!
