A very different scene in our kitchen this year for the Holidays.
If you read my prior post, Our Sunroom Decorated for Christmas and the Holidays 2021, the mood was serene and romantic. You know I like to do something different in each room – for the kitchen I went with a very bold look using rich dark colors and I am loving it.
Our Thanksgiving Day
Our family had such a wonderful holiday enjoying each other and giving thanks for all our blessings. I hosted the day and we all ate and drank to our hearts content. I made my favorite recipes and they were a smashing success! I hope you enjoyed the holiday with your friends and families too. Many of our families are smaller these days, as we have lost so many loved ones. But it’s important to cherish the ones we have left and give thanks for each other.
We spent the day with my husband’s and my brother’s family. Love them all so much. We missed seeing our niece, who spent the day with her fiancé’s family out of state.
My one and only sibling carves the turkey each year at Thanksgiving. It’s so fun to spend time with family, to laugh and catch up with each other. Family time is the best time 🙂 Love you bro!
A Regal Christmas
Bring on dark rich traditional hues for 2021! I am feeling bold and our kitchen represents my style beautifully.
A tribute to my Mom, who would love these colors. I wish my parents could be here to enjoy the holidays with us but I know they are looking down on our family and smiling.
A Christmas Table Centerpiece with Red, Gold, and Royal Blue!
When I saw this Christmas garland, I fell in love, knowing it would be perfect for our family holiday table. The colors are rich, vibrant, and really speak to me. Red, gold, and blue are the predominant colors and it is gorgeous. I am linking a smilier one HERE, as this one sold out already. It’s not cheap, but I will enjoy it for years to come.
The pièce de résistance graces our table in heavenly color.
I wanted the garland to really shine and this royal blue tablecloth is the perfect backdrop for the centerpiece.
The matching napkins look beautiful on white plates with gold rims. The plates are paired with gold chargers and sit on top of these similar place mats.
The napkin placement is simple, rolled into these rings (similar).
The brushed flatware is gold and pairs perfectly with the table and the regal setting.
The wine glasses have gold rims. I thrifted these years ago but found some similar ones for you HERE.
Did I mention I love this centerpiece? 😉
My new favorite Christmas store is filled with hundreds of Holiday goodies that will bring a smile to your face and inspire you.
I added blue ornaments into champagne glasses for a little extra whimsy.
Christmas Tree Decorations in Burgundy, Gold, and Royal Blue
This year’s tree may be my favorite yet.
My favorite ornaments in burgundy and gold are stunning. I bought this set years ago, but found a very similar one HERE. I have this set on my list to add to my present one 🙂 I didn’t bring these ornaments out last year and missed them terribly. They are making a big debut in the kitchen for 2021.
I used 3 types of ribbon on the tree, linking similar ones HERE and HERE.
This 9 foot tree is lovely and so well made. The branches are very realistic looking and the perfect color. The tree is easy to assemble and take down.I found a similar tree skirt HERE. The one is have is probably 10 years old now.

A Sparkling Chandelier to go along with the Christmas Table
The chandelier is one of my favorite things about our kitchen. You can get the look for less HERE.
It makes such a statement in the space and looks amazing with the table and Christmas tree.
A Place to Gather Around the Fireplace at Christmas time
I brought these chairs into the kitchen from our living room. The space in front of the fireplace has been open for a while now, since I moved the outdoor furniture into the pool house.
It’s a cozy spot to gather around the fire and enjoy drinks and snacks.
Christmas Kitchen Decor
This year I tried something new with our cabinets. I hung small wreaths on the glass doors. Wreaths have been difficult to find and are quite expensive, so this is my favorite place to buy small wreaths.
We used velvet ribbon and a thumb tack to attach them to the inside of the doors. My hubby did this for me right before Thanksgiving and he did such a great job!
I hope you enjoyed the Holiday tour of our kitchen. Next, moving onto the family room and the foyer, so lots more to come! Stay safe, healthy, and happy. Talk to you all soon!

Ooooh GORGEOUS Denise! I’ve always loved your sense of color and style, and you’ve totally done it again with this kitchen – absolutely beautiful! Happy Weekend After Thanksgiving my friend – I hope you have a wonderful time, and I can’t wait to see your family room and foyer! 🙂
Hi Barbara, thanks for your sweet comment! I’m really loving the blue this year. The first time using such a deep color. So happy you like it. Have quite a bit more to do but I’m having so much fun doing it 🙂 Happy Thanksgiving weekend!!
Gorgeous! Very Royal! Looks like a picture of the White House Christmas….
Hi Nancy, thank you! I do get inspiration from the White House decorated for Christmas and I love how each of the rooms are different. Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!
It’s a lovely color combination Denise! I also like those small wreaths on the glass doors.
Thanks Joni. I’m so drawn to blues lately and love the richness of a royal blue. Hope you had a fabulous holiday!
