Designing a feminine and functional bathroom space for my teenage daughter was a fun project. Many of the elements were existing to the room, but it was lacking function.
How to Design a Feminine Bathroom
My daughter’s bathroom is a fun space for a girly girl. It’s loaded with pink detail and feminine accents. The walls are painted a light pink shade and the ceiling has a sparkling shimmer. The floor to ceiling shower tiles are pink marble with diamond accents. Pink marble is also used as flooring in the room. White and pink crystal wall sconces flank both sides of an oval mirror highlighted with flower detail; and a crystal chandelier takes center stage in the space pulling all the elements together.
I replaced a heavy iron vanity that didn’t have any storage with this feminine white vanity loaded with storage. It’s 56 inches wide and has ample drawers and under sink space for toiletries.
The 8 drawers have metal slides and decorative detail. The vanity is antique white in color with pretty claw legs. The acanthus style on the vanity compliments the crown molding used in the room perfectly.
The crystal white marble countertop is gorgeous! It has rounded edges and is stunning in person. The countertop comes with a white porcelain sink and predrilled holes for a 8 inch spread faucet.
Another addition to the space was this polka dot shower curtain. When I put out a poll on my Instagram stories, this shower curtain was selected as a favorite. Thanks to all who voted, you nailed it! I am also using a fabric shower liner behind the curtain that is washable and light weight.
I love the optional backsplash that is available with this beautiful cabinet. The curved edges and rounded design looks beautiful with the vanity and countertop. I reused the faucet from our prior vanity, but found a similar one HERE. The brushed nickel compliments the elegant design beautifully.
The walls are painted in light pink and the color matches perfectly with the decor.
A durable pink bath mat adds to the “softness” in the room.
A hanging crystal chandelier, similar HERE and HERE adds a little twinkle to the room.
Perfectly complimented by crystal wall sconces similar HERE, and HERE.
The white oval mirror, similar HERE looks stunning with the vanity and slight veining in the marble countertop.
Floor to ceiling marble tiles surround the bathtub and are accentuated by crystal inlays.
The countertop is so pretty, I just love the clean look of it without any accessories.
All in all, we are very pleased with the design of the room.
Adding function but still retaining an elegant and feminine feel make this space perfect for a teenager.

Maybe it is just the pictures but it looks like the mirror needs to be raised a little.
Hi Linda, I’ll have to take another look. I raised it up slightly when we installed the backsplash but the ceilings are very high.
Oh that’s beautiful Denise! I love how you worked around the pink marble and made it so sparkly! I want that white cabinet! 🙂 Lovely room! 💗
Thanks Barbara! A bit too much work to install new tile now….but maybe one day 🙂 For the time being it looks really pretty and provides a ton more function than the old countertop. Thanks for visiting! Hugs
Ah Denise, one of my favourite colours, soft pink. I find it very relaxing but have had to confine myself to small accents (husband). He did surprise me when we renovated our master bath. He drilled a hole in our new bath faucet and put a crystal on top (he was very worried ruining the faucet but it worked). He told me that every girl deserves a little bling with her bath, The inlaid crystals around the tub reminded me of that story. Thanks.
Your husband sounds like an amazing man. How very sweet of him! So glad it bought back fond memories for you!
So elegant and feminine!! Love it, Denise!!
Thank you so much Lynn!!
