Two months after starting my holiday decorating journey, I can finally enjoy the fruits of my labor 🙂
The trees are up, the lights are hung, the candles lit, and I am happy. I feel a sense of calm before Christmas week where I can take it all in and reflect on the holiday. Next week will be filled with family gatherings, eating, drinking, merry making, and a special treat for the kids.
Each year, our good friends invite us over on Christmas Eve to enjoy a very special visit from Santa. The kids are so excited and anticipate this event for weeks.
Our son is 11 and on the verge of not believing. I am still not able to fully confirm his doubts, I tell him the joy of Christmas is in his heart and if he believes Santa is real, then that is his truth. This picture was from two years ago on Christmas Eve. Last year he didn’t want to sit on Santa’s lap 😬 but took a picture standing next to Santa. This year not sure what he will do?
The last of my Christmas decor is done, with the completion of our family room. Come on in and I’ll show you around.

The entrance to the room has columns that are wrapped in white twinkling lights. Several years back, we pulled down round columns and built square ones.

You know I love twinkling light reflections right? 🙂
White lights are so magical, I dream about keeping them up all year long.
This Christmas, I brought blush tones into our family room.
It all started with my velvet blush pillows. You have seen these pillows many times, they stay out all year long and travel from room to room. They were a Home Goods find a couple years back and I love them.
The perfect compliment and addition to the room (besides Bentley) are these beautiful faux peonies.
I had started out wanting to add fresh flowers to the space, but couldn’t find blush tones this time of year.
I was thrilled to find these very realistic peony stems that will last forever and will transition into Spring and Summer beautifully.
I brought in additional seating for the holidays, with parties and get togethers, extra chairs are always a good idea.
Touches of blush are also found on the mantel, woven into my nine foot flocked garland.
Blush baubles on the tree add a pretty shimmer to the room.
White shatterproof baubles mixed with blush create a perfect color combination. Let’s take a closer look at the tree.
Two blush ribbons..
And shiny blush baubles…
With white poinsettias…
Create a beautiful soft looking tree.
Feminine and serene.
A 7.5 foot flocked tree for our 2019 family room.
Blush ornaments adorn the fresh greenery behind the sofa and white miniature trees create a soft glow in the room.
White and Blush….
And twinkling lights…
Complete our room for 2019…
This room houses the fifth and final tree in our home this holiday season. The first tree was shown to you in Sunroom Christmas Tour 2019. The second tree is in Christmas Kitchen Tour 2019 and trees three and four are debuted in Our Foyer Decorated for Christmas – Double Flocked Trees.
A lot of work went into decorating our home this season, but we are enjoying every second of it.
I hope you are enjoying it too! From our home to yours…we wish you the happiest of holidays and a very Merry Christmas!
Peace, Love, and Joy to you all, my virtual family!!
Please feel free to check out my Youtube video of the room! Please ignore the shakiness of the camera as I hone in on my video making skills 😉

Lynn!!! Merry Christmas to you and your family my ever sooooo super talented friend!!! 😘
That room is truly stunning! I think you have outdone yourself on this one Denise! That first picture with the blue windows in the background is a gorgeous shot. Nothing wrong with leaving those twinkly lights up all winter.
So glad you like it Joni!!! Funny how style comes from a bit of inspiration. I had no idea what I was going to to with that room, until my blush pillows gave me an idea and the room was created from there. Dusk is my favorite time of day to photograph some rooms in our home, the blue coming through is windows is magical 🙂 Thanks for stopping in.
