Today, I am sharing with you a spectacular kitchen renovation! It’s unbelievable to think that this is the same space but I know first hand that it is!
Incredible Kitchen Renovation
You may recognize this kitchen. We owned this house many years ago. I renovated much of the home, and blogged about the changes we made. We were not able to give this kitchen the major overhaul that it needed instead we made small changes to the space such as removing wallpaper, changing pendants, and adding new flooring.
The Before Kitchen Renovation Pictures
This is what the kitchen looked like when we sold the house. The property has turned over a couple times since we sold it, with each owner making additional improvements. Now the home looks truly amazing and the kitchen is unrecognizable!
When we lived here, we never understood why the kitchen was so small. The home is rather large and the kitchen just didn’t feel like it went with the home.
The kitchen was separated by this wall with a wrap around bar height island. A small keeping room was created in the far right corner along with seating space for a table. This was the original design of the home.
The After Kitchen Renovation Pictures
After a well thought out renovation by the new owners, now look at this kitchen!
Double Kitchen Islands
I remember hosting Christmas parties where everyone was crammed into the small kitchen area and look at it now! I’m so impressed at how well this renovation was done. The wall was removed and the kitchen was enlarged to accommodate double islands. The new owners did an amazing job in creating a modern kitchen, adding so much more function, and giving the area more open space. This home is truly ready to host large gatherings and small cozy ones too all gathered around these magnificent islands.
All New Appliances
All new appliances were added, along with a full size wine refrigerator.
Removing a Wall for a Kitchen Renovation
It’s amazing at how much space was gained when the wall was taken down. I am very familiar with the space and this area is now huge and so much more functional.
Running Cabinets Up to the Ceiling during a Kitchen Renovation
So much cabinet space was gained and now they reach the ceiling.
New Hardwood Flooring
The stone floor was pulled up and the dark hardwood floor that is used in the rest of the home, was carried into the newly renovated space.
I am so impressed with this kitchen remodel, I just had to share it with you! Hope it gives you some ideas into the possibilities of a kitchen renovation.
I’d like to thank Lisa Thompson and Sky Blue for sharing these photos.
