The moment we have all been waiting for…drum roll please! The 2021 paint colors have been revealed!
Last year I posted about the 2020 Paint Colors of the Year and the post was so popular that I figured you would be interested to know what hot colors are trending this year! Last year, we saw pinks, blues, and greens as popular tones and many of those will carry into 2021.
Benjamin Moore 2021 Color of the Year
This one is a beauty, check out this gorgeous teal color.

Benjamin Moore refers to its 2021 color of the year as “intriguing, balanced, and deeply soothing, Aegean Teal 2136-40, creates natural harmony”.
I can see this color in so many different applications, walls, accent walls, kitchen and bathroom cabinets, interior and exterior doors just to name a few.

Look how Agean Teal plays so well with wood tones and brassy metals.

The combination of yellow and teal is so soothing and I’m not a yellow kind of gal but I love this mix.
More teal and brass…ahhhhhh
Why Teal cabinets? Because Teal always makes a statement. It’s unexpected, surprising and a beautiful accent to any space. Think Tiffany’s…it’s not just about the jewelry…
Benjamin Moore has an array of other colors for 2021 but I think Agean Teal is my favorite. This one is going to be hard to beat.
Sherwin Williams 2021 Color of the Year
Sherwin Williams it going in a slightly different direction with a simple natural hue that invokes a sense of calm. Dark and moody tones are all the rage these days and Urbane Bronze may be just the color you are looking for…
Sherwin Williams is suggesting to pair Urbane Bronze with a warm neutral like Modern Gray.
Or for a bolder look and style, pair with a darker hue such as Messenger Bag.
For the exterior, Urbane bronze is a gorgeous color for siding, front doors, shutters, and garage doors.

As an interior color, try it painted on walls, doors, furniture, or an accent wall.
BEHR Color Palette of 2021
Other paint companies such as BEHR and Farrow and Ball aren’t limiting their colors to just one, but are introducing a whole pallete, such as these comfort colors.
Farrow and Ball Color Palette
Farrow and Ball is leaning heavily toward greens for 2021.
These walls are painted in Light Blue and the cabinets in Green Smoke, coordinating so well with wood tones.
I love a dark green paint on cabinets too, the right hue is stunning!
And looks AMAZING with brass too!
So many beautiful colors from which to choose. The question is, would you paint your cabinets teal or green?

Love your color of the year wrap up Denise! I don’t know if I’d paint my kitchen cabinets green, but some of those dark shades are gorgeous.
Actually now that I think about it, one of my former houses did have teal colored built-ins in the library (which became my husband’s recording studio.) It was pretty cool! Thanks for the heads up on all the new inspiration out there! And Happy Valentine’s Day!
Hi Barbara, I am tempted to paint something teal..not sure what but I have the itch. I bet your built-ins were beautiful! Have a wonderful week.
