2020 Happy Haute Home Blog Recap, Our NYE and Plans for 2021

What a year it has been! 2020 is finally over and we have a bright new year to look forward to and that’s my focus..looking at the positive.

As the phrase goes….we can now finally say and mean it “Hindsight is 2020”! We have learned and grew so much this past year, valuable lessons we will never forget and will take forth with us into a happy and god willing healthy 2021.

2020 Year in Review

Where do I begin? As more people stayed home, many of us took on more home projects in an effort to make our homes forever homes. I, for one, gave our foyer a mini makeover and started a huge backyard project. I also focused on health and nutrition, working out more than ever to lose that awful COVID weight put on during quarantine. Also shared many recipes on the blog as well as 20 Things to do at Home with Extra Time on Our Hands. I also shared tips on caring for elderly parents and so much Christmas Decor, they are included in the over 100 posts I published in 2020!

My blog grew at an astounding rate this year…I still can’t believe it! With almost 500% growth, this proves people are investing more time into their homes!

In line with my blog, my Pinterest account had fantastic growth as well! On other social media platforms, my Instagram account grew at a modest pace along with Facebook. In other social media news, I’m excited to tell you about my plans for a YouTube channel. I dabbled a bit at the end of 2019 and didn’t do much most of the year. I picked it back up this winter as the holidays approached and am excited to say I am really focused on growing my YouTube Channel. I invite you to check it out, and let me know what you think.

I have you the thank for all this growth. I am very thankful and appreciate you! Thank you for being here and Happiest of New Year’s to you all!

New Year’s Eve 2020 and Plans for 2021

2020 was the year of family. Focusing more on family became the priority. Concern for the ones we love and keeping them healthy was numero uno on our minds. 2020 made us stronger as a family unit and more determined than ever to live each day as it could be our last and really focus on the here and present.

Quarantining changes your perspective on life and really brings out what is important. We shared a fabulous New Year Eve with very close friends. Being with the people we love and connect with, fills us with so much joy and contentment. We choose to love. We choose positivity. We choose to live life to the fullest. We choose to celebrate life.

Our New Year’s was one of the best ever. Surrounded by amazing friends, we celebrated with champagne and caviar, lobster and filet. We laughed, shared stories, and reflected on the positive changes of 2020.

This upcoming year will be filled with more family time and home projects. Regardless of the size of a home, as long as it’s filled with love and you are surrounded by goodness and joy in your heart…you have a happy haute home. Love to you all for a healthy and safe 2021.

Denise
